Mckayla & Brennan’s Wedding

When I first connected with McKayla and Brennan, they told me their biggest goal was for guests to walk away saying their wedding dance floor was “lit.” Right away, I could tell this couple was all about joy, connection, and having an unforgettable time. As a San Diego female DJ, I’ve seen a lot of amazing love stories, but theirs stood out immediately and I knew I wanted to curate a celebration that felt uniquely them.

They met in college, and many of their guests had shared those same college years together, which brought an undeniable energy to the day. For their ceremony, McKayla and Brennan wanted the moment to feel holy and rooted in their faith. I curated a soft, soulful blend of worship music that created a beautiful, reverent atmosphere as guests filled the outdoor ceremony space.

As we transitioned into cocktail hour, we lifted the energy with a classy mix of upbeat oldies that kept everyone smiling and mingling. Dinner carried a warm, romantic vibe think folky, indie, beachy love songs that perfectly captured the essence of a couple who met at a college by the ocean in San Diego.

By the time speeches wrapped up, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room… which made the shift to dancing even more powerful. This was the moment to deliver the dance floor they had dreamed of. As a DJ, especially a San Diego female DJ who prides herself on crafting moments that reflect each couple. I always make sure the music aligns with their personality and vision.

And since their vision was to “make it lit” and “break shit” (their words, not mine 😂), that’s exactly what we did. I dropped quick cuts of everything from T-Pain, Natasha Bedingfield, Beyoncé, Pitbull, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Cherub, Usher, Bad Bunny, and Blink-182 to timeless classics like Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind & Fire.

The result? A packed, electric, unforgettable dance floor!!! It was such a beautiful celebration that I was honored to have been a part of!
